We met on a blind date at Bennigans in April of 1990, fell in love, and were married in July, 1992. Shortly after we got married we started dreaming of owning our own sailboat. After a quick look around the local market we settled on the Hunny Bunny, a 29 foot Bayfield. We enjoyed spending time on the boat so much that in 1994 we sold our 4 bedroom house and moved on the boat. We always said that if we ever bought a bigger boat it would have to be the Bayfield 40’ and in 2001 we found her in FL and named her the Amazing Grace, After a very exciting trip bringing the boat back to our homeport of Houston, (League City) Texas we started dreaming of the day we would be able to “Pay Off The Boat”, quit our jobs, and go cruising. The day finally is upon us. We are leaving in April 2009, right after Easter, to start The Great Loop (across the gulf to Florida, up the east coast, Hudson River, Erie Canal, through the Great Lakes and back out the Mississippi). Now we are headed south to the Caribbean to start our Great Ceribbean Loop |
